For aquarium fish retailers to use the Fishtech global system of quarantine, it all starts with the right equipment and medications.

For our retailers the equipment starts with basic storage containers, most common sizes are 5 to 10 litre sizes. Enough containers are required to house the fish for each shipment over a 6 t to 13-day treatment. 6 days for freshwater fish and 13 for marine fish.

Air pumps and air stones are required for each container. The usual setup is to have gangs of air stones in sets of 2,3 and 4.

The medications required are all basic and readily available. Methylene blue, malachite green, formalin etc. Fishtech global also uses unusual medications like Garlic, chamomile tea bags and lemon juice. Our daily sheets we send out will explain how these are used.

Some of the equipment required is disposable gloves, syringes, pipettes, and scales.

Our quarantine system is broken up into 2 stages, container treatment for the first stage and second stage is aquarium treatment with medicated fish food.

Our daily instructions will be customized for your business, all we require once you subscribe, is the form we supply to be filled in with all your aquariums coded, water capacity and species currently housed. Also, a list of equipment and medications you will be using will be supplied and we will assist you in setting for quarantine area. Our algorithm will divide the fish species into colour codes, and each aquarium will have a tailor-made treatment procedure. Once your shops profile is set up, we will take care of sending you daily instructions for your employees to follow.
